Good Venue, rude staff (Cardiff International Arena)

Advantages: Large, Large Screens, Good Speakers

Disadvantages: Extremely patronising bouncers.

My main problem with the CIA is the politeness of the staff. Although I can appreciate they are probably used to dealing with thugs and drunks, that is no excuse for talking in a generally patronising manner to everyone they speak to.

Prior to going into the anena, we were made to get completely off the steps, pushing the thousands of people behind us back and yet the minute everyone get off the bottom step they allowed us in. I mean come on, we were not a bunch of Primary School Children and refusing to all anyone entry because they are at the base of the steps, simply to rub in your power is absurd.

Inside was pretty good, though perhaps they should consider selling slightly less tickets for standing concerts as the venue was so packed you literally couldn't turn around, and indeed some rude man had no problem having his knee in my backside for practically the whole concert. The stage is quite big, sceens are also big, sound quality isn't bad and generally I enjoyed the experience.

I would definately recommend the CIA, though watch out for the rude staff members. If I was to give you one tip, which is probably pretty much common sense, arrive early, not just slightly early, but in good time!

Summary: I have not been put off for life, but definately watch out for these staff, some are just plain rude
