Take That Ultimate Tour 2006
by gemma1612
I am and always will be a massive Take That fan. I dragged my best freind who wasn't a fan to this concert and she really enjoyed it. We both couldn't wait for the DVD to come out so we could re-live this amazing show.
The entence to the performance is one I will never forget. The boys definitely know how to make an entrance ... and never fail to impress, but I won't spoil it.
Songs include 'Pray', 'Never Forget', and 'Back For Good' They do an amazing version of 'It only takes a minute' latin style, this was one my favorite moments of the show. Take That have shown us a different side to them here, a very grown up Take That.
This is not just a concert many people I know who went to this (as well as other Take That concerts) that were not fans of their music but really enjoyed it because Take That put on an outstanding show.
Take That pull of some amazing dance routines through out the show, some times it makes you forget their age.
The DVD has lots of extras, including how the show was put together the understage where you see the boys' quick changes in between stage performances.
This is a DVD I watch over and over again and never get bored. Read the complete review |

Exit Fest (Novi Sad)
by jonthejack
The Exit Festival is a festival based in Serbia which happens every July and has been on since 1999. The idea of the first festival was to oppose the government under Milosovic to try and bring stability back to Serbia.
2000 local students had a 100 day protest festival and thats how it all began. The festival now is very ... commercial and is set over 4 days beinng thu, fri, sat and sun. The festival is attended by nearly 200,000 over the four days which just shows how far things have come.
The festiavl is based in serbia's second city which is Novi Sad which can be a bit of a nightmare to get too from the UK. There are a few options which are to fly into the capital Belgrade or hungary or even croatia. You will then have to get a coach into the city.
The festival is set in a petrovidian fortress which comprises of 2 main stages and a few smaller stages dotted around. The price of a 4 day pass is bout £75 which is extremely cheap.
If you are into yor festivals you have to try this one, I promise it will not disappoint at all. An example of this years acts (2010) Mika, The Klaxons, Missy Eliott, David Guetta, Josh Wink, Stereo soundsystem, Miss Dynamite, The Horrors, Chemical Brothers, Ricardo Villabos and many more.
Drinks at the festiavl cost about £1.50 which is extremely cheap compared to the usual £3.50 back in the UK.
This was my first year at the festival and I intend to go again, I have yet to hear of anybody not liking the festival.
Well done Exit and congratulations Serbia.
The music is a mixture of bands and dance music, the best mix for all persons attending. Read the complete review |

Cardiff International Arena
by MarkyM
I'll never go to this venue again. Saw (or rather didn't see) Simply Red there 20th June.
I had gotten front row tickets next to stage, but had recently damaged my achillies tendon so shouldn't be walking/standing and certainly not up and dancing.
At the SECC in Glasgow, or indeed any other decent venue they ... appreciate that people on the front row invariably paid through the nose, so they keep the gap between these seats and the stage clear. Not so at the CIA where they happily let 2-3 deep stand in front of the front row.
Worst still I had my bad foot trodden on 3 times as portly people, obviously the worse for drink, tried to squeeze through and lost their balance.
There was no merchandise (but the promotors fault and not the venue as there is no excuse to run out of programmes at the start of a tour!)
Avoid! Read the complete review |
