Advantages: Uk band!!!!!!, Unstoppable force, Great live
Disadvantages: You try find some!
A band which caught my eye a few months back now, is a Uk based trio called InMe. It was pure luck how these guys got a record label. Performing live at a show under the name "Drowned", InMe's set was delayed due to a broken cymbal. Music For Nations, just caught InMe's last song of their set, titled 'Lava Twilight' and ended up, signing the guys! If you guys want to get a taste of them, you can do. There debut single which is due out for a July 15th release, is titled 'Underdose' and is being played on Kerrang and MTV2 now. 'Underdose'is quite simply a brilliant song. For me one of the best released songs in 2002. or it will be come July 15th. It shows the very best of InMe. Their vocal talents well used. From Daves (the lead singer) normal singing voice to his greatly aggressive shouting voice, and his high pitched notes. All 3 combinations used in most of InMe's songs, but explored the ebst in this one. Unfortunatly for us guys, their debut album 'Overgrown Eden' isnt set for release untill September! But the album will be worth its wait. I have heard most of the stuff on it, whether it be via seeing them live or songs i have downloaded. I have in my collection apart from 'Underdose', 3 other songs, my favourite being a very quiet song and alot of high picthed notes from dave well sang to, the song called 'Ice Warm' 2 others i have, firstly 'Crushed like Fruit' which is another great song, featuring on their debut album to. 'Lava Twilight' is the last song i own, a great song at that and the song which got them their record deal! As for my encounters with InMe, there has been one. A few weeks back now, i headed out to my local university with a few mates to go and see Soil headlining their uk tour. When first going to this gig, i was actually going for Soil, not to my knowledge that InMe were supporting (along with Hell Is For Hereos). Anyway, w
hen i got in, InMe opened up the show. They played a magnificant set! The crowd really seemed to enjoy it to. Not one song disspointed me, and they played great live. The highlights of the set for me was when they played my two favourite tracks 'Ice Warm' and 'Underdose' They are simply going to be a great band. And when their debut album comes out later this year, i would expect them to rise and shine next year. So be sure to catch them on tour next time, you wont be dissapointed. InMe are... Dave McPherson - Vocals and Guitar Joe Morgan - Bass and Backing Vocals Simon Taylor - Drums
