Advantages: Lots and lots to see and do

Disadvantages: Perhaps too many people

As usual this year, I had a fantastic time at Glastonbury. What makes it so good is the range of other things to do/see as well as bands. There were a few big acts I would have liked to see but just couldn't be bothered to fight my way through the dense crowds around the Pyramid stage in the evening. Instead I spent my time watching street theatre or cabaret or circus acts. There is always something to make you laugh or to amaze. I saw Bodger & Badger in the Kid's Field last year! There are also loads of different types of food stalls which keep me happy for the weekend! And many craft stalls aswell.
One negative aspect is the crime (that seems to have increased over the years, but that could just be cos I didn't notice it or wasn't near any before). My friend's bag got pinched from on the ground right by us, and we ended up moving all our tents cos a group near to us were stealing rucksacks from tents (we saw them rummaging through one such bag and discarding what they didn't want). I haven't let it spoil a festival yet - I take the minimum amount of stuff, and my camera and money stay on me at all times - at least then I haven't got anything for bad people to steal. If you've never been, you should definitely go - you'll probably end up hooked!
