What a performer! I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Kylie and of course never taken her seriously - to do so would be a huge mistake... she clearly doesn't with this amazingly upbeat, flashy, outrageously camp platter of new and old music, superb energetic choreographed steps mixed with seductive pole dancing scenes. Kylie Minogue began her UK tour last week and I was lucky enough to catch her at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday evening. A mixed crowd assembled for the show: fans who remembered her from the 80s, new fans of her recent album and a small mix of mums and dads with their children and strangely, a few Goths who looked like they arrived at the wrong gig, but actually enjoyed it as much as everyone else.
