I've been a fan since 1998, when I was sent a CD from a friend of mine who lived in Sacramento. She loved the band, and insisted I check them out. I live in Ireland, no one had heard of the band until the 2000 release of "Infest". As everyone knows, "Infest" was very successful, and the guys set off on a world tour. I didn't make it to that show, but after the release of "LoveHateTragedy" they came to Ireland and I entered a radio contest to get to be V.I.P at the gig. I won the contest, and met the guys backstage where I presented them with gold records for sales of LoveHateTragedy in Ireland. Murderdolls and Hell Is For Heroes supported them on this tour. Murderdolls were great for getting the crowd going, we were all really amped up for Papa Roach. When they took to the stage I was in awe, Jacoby has amazing stage presence, the set list was perfect, bringing us up with anthems like "Last Resort" and "Time And Time Again" and settling us back down with a haunting 3 minute intro to "LoveHateTragedy". I left the gig feeling like I had been at some kind of therapy session. They are just amazing and awe inspiring live. I met them again in 2006 when they played here and again they were brilliant. They came outside after the show to chat with fans and sign autographs etc and they were really down to earth. As Jacoby says, It's always good to meet nice rock stars! If you haven't seen them live, GO! They are just amazing!
