I have recently attended 2 graduation ceremonies in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The concert hall when opened was aimed specifically at hosting music, however they also host shows and my husband went to see the comedy show "only an excuse" there also. The hall is large and must hold in excess of 2000 people in a semi circular shape. There is ample leg room in the seating for most people, and there does not appear to be any "blind spot" seating, although as with everywhere some seats are better than others.

The hall sets the tone for grandeur and it was a lovely atmosphere for a graduation ceremony. All of the guests feel close enough to the stage so that when you accept your certificate you can actually see the faces of loved ones! Outwith the halls there are a number of bars, cafes and restaurants which are in the main reasonably priced for such a venue, and they offer a reasonable selection.

I would like to visit the hall again to see it as a music venue, but in terms of a graduation it was top class.
