Well it has been a long time coming but i eventually got to see the band they called T-Rextsy at the standard music venue located in walthamstow london E17 on saturday the 7th of feb 2009 and i was not dissapointed how i regret not seeing them sooner,as someone who can remember the 60s,70s,and 80s musically each of those years offers a different type of music but i must say that the 70s was a wonderful period for me with bands like the Faces with Rod Stuart,Mott the Hoople,Slade,David Bowie etc,but T-Rex was something else untill i went to see T-Rextasy i did not think that it was possible to recreate not only the sound but the look of T-Rex and in particular Marc ... T-Rexstacy The Wharf, Tavistock, Devon. 18/11/05. £9.00 advance/£10 on the door. Another tribute band. This time to T-Rex. Now, I’ve made my views on tribute bands pretty clear in the past. On the whole, I’m not a convinced fan of the genre. I’m not sure that a band pretending to be another band is very healthy. But then again, there must be a bob or two to be made at the game, otherwise these tribute acts wouldn’t exist: would they? And folk certainly go to see them. So who am I to criticise?
