The Ting Tings are one of those bands that I have known about for a long time and actually had their album in my car for around 10 months, but have never got round to listenind to or getting into until last week and now I can't believe what I have been missing for the past almost a year.

The turning point in me wanting to hear more from the band came last Wednesday night as I watched the group play a medley with female pop sensation Estelle at the 2009 Brit Awards. The medley was teriffic and the songs so instantly catchy that I just had to go and get my CD out of the car and listen to it immediately. What I heard was a revelation and a real eye opener to the unique sounds of this group.

Katie White, the lead singer is absolutely stunning, bith in appearance and in her voice and she is more than abley assisted by her co-band member Jules De Martino on drums and backing vocals.

The songs the band preduce are both brilliant on the CD and on stage, something that is not always the case with new acts. Katie performs them with such energy and anthusiasm that you can't help but get caught up in the moment. The tunes range from anthems to subtle charming numbers and Katie's voice really suits them all.

I don't know if it is just me, but I just don't feel like the band have been given enough exposure where it matters but that will surely improve after the Brits performance and the success of their released singles.

If the Ting Tings aren't a successful band for years to come then I will be very surprised.
