The Producers:
... film-of-the-musical-of-the-film, The Producers unites the hit Broadway pairing of Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, drafts in Uma Thurman, and somewhere along the way loses half the fun that made the original movie and the Broadway show such a success, mainly through the lazy writing and lack of real chemistry between the leads. While there s undoubtedly some kitsch fun to be had watching this, and Lane and Bro... Read the full review: Good but not good enough by Walshy_walshy |

The Wedding Singer Musical ... of all I just want to clarify that this is my review of The Wedding Singer Musical, the Broadway adaptation of the film, which has now landed on British shores. I suggested this product after seeing it at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, I didn t see it actually on Broadway. The Story The Wedding Singer is based on the 1998 film of the same title, which starred Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Set in 1985 Robbie Hart is a the lead singer in a band which sing at weddings, he s engaged to Linda and very happy (or so he thinks). Julia is a waitress at the banqueting hall where she befriends Robbie and is herself waiting for her long term boyfriend , Glenn to pop the ... Mamma Mia - international tour 2008 ... YOUR MOTHER KNOW? The 2008 international tour of Mamma Mia began in Bristol - the writer Catherine Johnson s hometown. For a Christmas present, my mum bought three tickets for myself and my two teenage daughters to go to see it, so there we were, in the too-small seats of the grand circle in the Bristol Hippodrome on January 7th. THE NAME OF THE GAME As most people know, Mamma Mia is a highly successful musical (and the film version is to be released this summer) which uses Abba s music to help tell the story. The plot itself though has nothing to do with Abba; it is more of a chick flick type plot or a romantic comedy. Sophie is twenty years old and lives on a ... Read the full review: Mamma Mia? A Chorus Line ... IS ALMOST 10 years after I had the chance to watch another musical in the US. Having spent a long summer vacation in California recently, I had the opportunity to watch a phenomenal stage production before it will be scheduled to open in Broadway later this year. A CHORUS LINE is a 1975 Broadway production that captured more than six million people worldwide during its 15 years run. I was lucky enough to witness its first revival shows in San Francisco’s Curran Theater. It was a last minute decision to watch on the last few days of the show, and I did not face any difficulty to secure a good seat at $45 in the balcony section of the theatre. This legendary Tony Award... Read the full review: ***A NONSTOP ONE SINGULAR SENSATION PRODUCTION*** by curious_tan |
