Advantages: Thick, stretchy, easy to get out of packet, nice smell, moist, good price
As I have already said in some of my other reviews, I am a big fan of Johnson's products because of their quality and price. When it comes to baby wipes I tend to buy Huggies, Pampers or Johnson's depending on what is on offer at the time. The standard price to pay for Johnson's baby wipes are £2.44 for a single pack, £5.49 for a four pack, £7.49 for a six pack. Each pack contains 64 wipes. Over the past year I have had quite a few vouchers for Johnson's products and they are also regularly on offer in the supermarkets so it is possible to pick up a real bargain. I don't tend to pay more than £1 per pack and I find that I am regularly able to buy Johnson's wipes at this price.
The wipes come in fragrance free but I tend to buy the fragranced version. The packet is pale pink and blue with dark blue writing and a picture of a cute baby. There is a piece of sticky plastic sealing the pack which can be resealed after each use. The first thing you notice when using these wipes is that they pull out of the pack easily and you don't end up with ten wipes at a time. This is very useful when dealing with an unpleasant nappy situation! The wipes have a nice smell, quite floral. I have to say, I have bought other wipes that smell nicer but these ones smell fine. The wipes are thick which to me indicates good quality. They are also stretchy which is quite handy as you get more use out of the wipe. The best thing about these wipes is that they are really moist. You feel like you are giving baby's bottom, face or hands a really good wash with these wipes. The wipe itself feels gentle and the packet states that they are as mild as pure water to skin and eyes and also says "no more tears". I have regularly used these wipes while changing nappies and for wiping my babies face after food time and have never noticed any skin irritation at either end! I actually started buying these wipes long before I had a baby as a cheap but effective alternative to face wipes to take off my makeup. They feel nice on my skin and do a good job at removing my makeup.
Over all I would describe these wipes as excellent quality, kind to skin and reasonably priced, particularly when on offer.
Summary: A good quality baby wipe that can also be used to remove make up
