Pampers Baby-Dry Nappies
Advantages: Nice and soft
Disadvantages: None for us
Now that Jayden is getting bigger I was finding that the nappies I use to buy him we getting a bit on the small size, also a couple of times we found that during the night they would leak so I decided to purchase some nappies in the next size up. Because of the problems we had with the nappies leaking at night I decided to see what else was available that could help sort this problem out. I was very impressed with the Pampers Newborn Nappies that I have used before so I decided to give the Pampers Baby Dry Nappies a try and opted for size 2 which was one size up from what we had been using on Jayden.
The Pampers Baby Dry Nappies come in a green plastic wrapper, on the front is the name Pampers Baby Dry in white and yellow with the picture of a boats port hole with a padlock on it, towards the bottom of the packaging is the size of the nappies and the amount you received per pack. Half of the front of the packaging is taken up with a picture of a baby and its mother. The back of the packaging is the same green colour and also has the name of the nappies written on it, the rest of this side is taken up with a large picture of one with the nappies with various arrows pointing to different parts explaining what they are, towards the top is also a picture of a baby asleep on a crescent moon suggesting that they are ideal for a good nights sleep. On the sides of the packet are one or two warnings, this is also repeated in different languages. The design of the packaging is simple however it does contain all of the information you need to know and is easy to read and following, there is nothing overly complicated.
The Pampers Baby Dry Nappies are predominantly green and white, style wise they are pretty much the same as most nappies, they have a sticky tab either side at the back, these are very flexible so that you can comfortably pull them around your babies sides and tightly fasten them but at the same time they do not restrict their movement and move with them. The centre of the nappy has a high absorbency and is designed to keep your baby clean and dry, all moisture is drawn away from your baby's skin which will also help against nappy rash. The nappies are made from an extremely soft material which again is designed with your baby's comfort in mind, the material of the nappies will not rub against their skin and make it sore as they move around both while they are awake and during the night. Each nappy also has a strip along the front of it with a grass and sky scene on it and in the centre is a cute colourful animals head consisting of a dog, a cow, a rabbit and a chick, the colours used in the colourful strip along the front is definitely unisex, some nappies I have tried I have found to be rather girly looking however I am happy to put Jayden in these.
The Pampers Baby Dry Nappies come in a range of sizes including
* Size 2
* Size 3
* Size 4
* Size 4+
* Size 5
* Size 5+
* Size 6
As you can see the nappies do not come in a small size for newborns (obviously depending on the size of your baby) We went for the Size 2 nappies, the smallest these nappies come in. Size 2 nappies are described as mini and are suitable for babies weighing 3 - 6Kg or 6 - 13lbs, however I do find that you can not always go by these weight guides as Jayden is over 13lbs but these nappies still fit him fine, it really does depend on the build of your baby.
Price and Availability
Pampers Baby Dry Nappies can be purchased in a variety of places including most supermarkets and other stores such as Boots and Superdrug, we purchased our nappies from Tesco and the pack of 41 nappies cost £6.49, this is pretty average for this size packet of these nappies, although some places do sell them in larger packs which naturally are more expensive. I think that these nappies are quite reasonably priced, nappies are not really the cheapest thing to buy, however these are no more expensive than other brands we have tried. I wasn't really too worried how much they cost as long as they worked and kept Jayden fresh and dry, if they worked then they would certainly be well worth the money.
We have been using the Pampers Baby Dry Nappies for a while now and I have to say we have been pleased with them, the nappies feel quite thin to touch and are certainly not bulky under Jayden's clothing, I like the fact that they are flexible as it means he can comfortably move around both during the day while he is playing and at night, also the soft material they are made from means that they do not rub his skin in areas such as around his legs and the waistband.
The main thing with these nappies was that they keep Jayden dry especially during the night which is when we were having problems with the smaller size, I was extremely pleased to discover that these nappies kept Jayden dry and fresh even throughout the night, when I took the nappies off his skin was lovely and dry and not damp or wet at all helping to prevent nappy rash and his skin becoming sore.
The design of these nappies is cute and ideal for both boys and girls, they are reasonably priced and the fact that they actually work and do what they say they will makes them well worth the money. These nappies come in a range of sizes which means I can continue to use this range as Jayden grows. I would definitely recommend the Pampers Baby Dry Nappies and will certainly continue to use them.
Summary: They keep my baby dry and comfortable
