“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Wipes „
If you have a toddler who gets messy when out and about you will understand how important is is to make sure their hands are clean before eating and after playing. My little girl loves playing in the dirt, painting and generally being active. I used to clean her up with plain old baby wipes when a sink wasn't handy until I stumbled across these whilst shopping in sainsburys.
They can be found in the baby section and they come in a striking green packet with white and yellow writing and a small picture of a dog on the front that has made what I understand to be messy footprints. I'm not sure I really understand why they have chosen to use a dog but the packaging is pleasant none the less. There is a handy resealable plastic flap opening which I have found to be valuable as it prevents the wipes from drying out in between use.
The packaging advises that the wipes contain an anti bacterial agent and that they are 'kind enough to use on messy hands and faces'. I would certainly agree that they are mild as I have used other standard anti-bacterial wet wipes before on my child who has subsequently complained afterwards and these wipes have never caused such a reaction.
The wipes themselves are very wet which means you normally only require one a time to clean your toddler up unless they are extraordinarily messy that is. I love the clean fresh smell they have its not too strong but just enough to leave their hands smelling clean. They smell much nicer than standard baby wipes I have used in the past.
At £1.70 for a pack of 50 wipes I think they are a little bit pricey, they are rarely on offer except during the sainsburys baby events when they are discounted by 1/3. This is a shame as I would be prepared to stock up if there were more offers available on them. A pack does last me a while though because I only need to use one at a time. This product as one of my firm essential buys for my toddler and to date I have not found any similar wipes in other supermarkets which is a shame as sainsburys is not my local supermarket anymore which means I have to make a special trip to purchase them.
I highly recommend these to any mum reading!!
