“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Baby wipes „
Having tried all the baby wipes under the sun for my three kids over the years, these are the ones I have settled on as my favourites. They come in a handy multipack (a box of 8 for £6) as well as the single pack size, and when Sainsbury's have their baby promotions these are generally included (e.g. 1/3 off) making them a great bargain.
The packaging of the wipes is very simple, which I like. The sticky flap from which you retrieve the wipes seems to stay sticky quite well, and you don't have the issue of any plastic bit to fall off like I have had with countless big brand packs. The wipes themselves are medium sized and medium thickness - not as substantial as the big branded ones, but a good useful size nonetheless - I usually use 2 for changing a wet nappy, more for a poo, but 1 wipe is great for loads of other uses - wipe small spills, mucky hands, makeup-y hands, etc. so actually I like having the medium sized wipe as it is less wasteful.
The formula is very gentle on my little girl's bottom, but I do find that I can't use them on her face as it gives her a slight pink rash. Therefore, I am not sure they would be good for very sensitive skin, and you wuld certainly want to test them on a small area. I have found that any reaction on her face can be easily fixed by rinsing with water.
Until i tried these i had only ever had asdas own brand wipes. I bought these fragrance free 80 wipes for 1 pound a pack as they didnt have any branded on offer. The packaging is what i would expect on a basic range not normal supermarket brand. Plain white pack with purple trim and writing. The opening just has a stick back seal which in my experience doesnt stick too well. The wipes are the same size as a smart price wipe is and has the same thickness and stretchy material. However i found these to be very dry for baby wipes.
I think with these the only thing about them that could possibly be considered about them as better quality than basic is the following labels on the pack
-paraben free (whatever that is)
I wont be using these again any time soon as they are just too dry and seem expensive for what they are!
