Puggers Bolivia: ... ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * The Acquired Taste of Bolivia * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * The old woman, with only her face visible above the pile of knitting, flashed a sparsely-toothed grin of approval, and a thumbs-up appeared from amongst the woollen socks. She had, though, done this for each item I d tried on, so her encouragement was beginning to lose meaning. This was, patently, a children s clothing stall - each and every...

mmayer99 India
... have spent four and a half months travelling around India, The first time was for 6 weeks starting in Mubai and going to Goa and then Kerala on the South Mubai Coast. On arrival in Mubai I was ushered into a taxi and then 2 extra men got in, I tried to protest but it was my first day as a traveller, and I was young and naive in a new country. They ripped me off for 10 times the taxi amount, but at least I got to my destination, the train station heading to Goa. It was the middle of the night and I was wandering the streets alone, it is almost comical to me now how bad my life to travel had begun. I found a bus the next day to take me to Goa where I met a friend from hom...

sympatic Pisa
... is located in the Italian region of Tuscany in the north of the country and is a beautiful city to visit made famous by its leaning tower. It is not a large city with a population of about 100k however this number gets swollen due to the number of tourists that visit it. I enjoyed the couple of days we spent there as it was a relaxing break with a bot of sight seeing thrown into the mix. We flew into Galileo Galilei Airport which is about a mile outsode the city and we used a shuttle bus to get into the city which was about 5 euro. Pisa is a great place to enjoy some great Italian cuisine but you do have to hunt out the good places amongst the number of tourist tra...

mmayer99 Java
... am no expert on Java, I have only been to 3 places, Jakarta, Surabaya and Mount Bromo (pictured). The first 2 are cities and nothing special for tourists, like most South East Asian cities they are polluted with heavy traffic and quite stressful for first timers. Mount Bromo on the other hand was one of the best experiences of my life and certainly worth visiting Java if only for a day. You get there in the afternoon and have an early night because you need to wake up just after 4am. You are guided to a watch point to see the sunrise over the most amazing landscape in the world (probably). If you are lucky you will see clouds cascading off the volcanos, it is a beautif...
