Disadvantages: too artificial

It is not Agadir's fault that an earthquake demolished it and it had to be completely rebuilt 30 - 40 years ago but the result is not great. It consists of a line of hotels which are up above the beach for the most part. These are largely the standard package holiday type. There is a centre which contains shops reataurants etc and while they made an effort it bears more resemblance to a surburban shopping centre than the usual Moroccan market. The beach is large but appears separated from the hotels by a slope.
There is a little of old Agadir left around the harbour area. Morocco has so much more to offer and there are far better beach resorts around so I would give Agadir a miss.
