Choose the Rotana, it's closest to the town centre and the most popular with the local Arab community. Trader Vic's at the Rotana is the best place for a fancy meal out. Make sure you have a cocktail at the bar first. Watch out they are very strong! Wednesday and Thursday nights are best. Visit the Hilli Archeological Gardens on Friday round about prayer time. There is plenty to do and see in Al Ain. It's a popular weekend spot for people from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, especially in the hot summer months when the dry desert air of Al Ain is more bearable than the humidity on the coast. Make sure you drive the top of Jebel Hafeet for a spectacular mountain top sunset. Just after you turn off the Ayn al Fayda road and before you start to climb up the mountain you will see a huge fountain on your right. This is a nice place for an evening picnic.
