Advantages: Pubs, Resteraunts and wonderful scenery
Disadvantages: Smelly Canal and poor nightlife if you want clubbing.
I'm shocked to read of bad experiences in the holiday resort I've been to the most in my lifetime. Majorca in general is a lovely friendly place and but Alcudia has a special place in my heart.
When I Was younger my parents took me and my brother there on holiday 4 times and I absolutely loved it, from the 5 a side park to the bars and hospitality, it was a great place to go.
I always vowed that when I was old enough to go on holiday without my parents I would go to Alcudia. Indeed a few years ago myself along with my girlfriend at the time went , we stayed at the Mariners apartment complex which was a beautiful small place to stay without much hassle and was out of the way enough not to be disturbed at night.
The pubs are cracking from the Hawian Cocktail bar, to the Flying Scotsman to a little known pub which was a little out the way called "The Crazy Horse" , this was run by a cracking old Spanish guy.
The part I liked the most however was the food. We ate in my places from Luna's BBQ , to the El Toro and the portions were magnificent and it wasn't too pricey either. Even thinking back now gives me great memories.
The resort itself is beautiful to look at, and on a clear day the mountains are a wonderful sight. Only problem is the old canals which don't smell too good at all unfortunately.
Overall I'd highly recommend Alcudia for a family or a young couple looking for a relaxing place to enjoy their holiday.
Summary: Highly recommend this wonderful resort.
