... knowledgeable and great fun. Our guide, on our request even took us on an evening walk to explore the nocturnal creepy crawlies. The accomodation itself is basic, if you are used to basic backpacking accomodation, great. the facilities are actually very good, the rooms are basic, but clean, most are ensuite and there is running hot water for 24 hours a day. Amarongachi is another place where i have had such a good time that it is only fair that I share my experiences and reccomend that anyone that wants a taste of the rainforest visit this amazing haven in the Amazon rainforest. Amarongachi is located a few miles outside of the town of Tena. The organisers at Amarongachi will collect you from the bus station and take you to their office and cafe where they will give you a nice smoothie while you negotiate what activities you would like to do whilst in the rainforest.
