AnaheimNewest Review: ... trains do not seem to run as regularly there as they do in London! I visited Anaheim at the beginning of this month, not to go to Disney Land, but to attend an expo in the Anahiem convention centre, so this review is based on my experience. I got to Anaheim from where I was staying in Hollywood by coach, the service was by LuxBus America and it was very pleasant. I paid $52 for a return ... more |

Anaheim is not actually located in Los Angeles County, but rather in the neighbouring district of Orange County, which is perhaps 45 minutes down the freeway from LA, although this depends on traffic, which can build up to a significant level and really slow such a journey down. Despite not actually being in LA, Anaheim is a place where a lot of Los Angeles/Hollywood tourists end up because it is the home of Disney Land California. The area is not really too easy to access by public transport, although the Metro Blue line does go there - but I've no idea how long such a journey would take from central Los Angeles with all the different connections, and Metro trains do ... Orange County is the place where Michelle Pfeiffer won a beauty pageant. The home of The Offspring. It's about a 1 hours drive from LAX, well that's how long it takes us. We seem to get lost everytime, and this time we got pulled up by the L.A.P.D for being in a rough area. We didn't even know where we had ended up, it was nice for the cops to be so concerned!! If your are staying in Anaheim the chances are you are visting Disney. If so the make sure that you hire a car and get out of the area. Its not very nice. It pretty much caters to the Disney traffic and although the area is not nice I did not see much criminal activity. There is a reasonable amount of shopping here, as anywhere, and a couple of reasonable malls. There is a cinema a few miles to the south. This is the perfect place for accessing the south, right on the interstate highway, it is a short (relativeley) run down to San Diego. Now I'm not a fan of LA, but of all the places and things to do, Disney has to be at the top of th list, there is not a lot ... Read the complete review

When me and my family visited California, we stayed in Anaheim. We stayed in a motel who's owner was called Anna!!! Anna was a very nice person. She gave us a great room and in the morining saved us some donuts and gave them to s fre of charge. Another advantage of staying in Anaheim and was that Disneyland was just around the corner - less than five minutes away. There was a jucuzzi in her place and it was so nice - full of bubbles and it was so warm. Ahhh - I miss that so much! The room we stayed at had two rooms and three beds. Me and my brother got one each and my mum and dad shared. Another great thing was that the beds were double!!! ... Read the complete review
