Ankara is one of cities I like very much in Turkey. I spent my childhood there. I love this city. It is also the capital city of Turkiye (Turkey) Ankara is located at the center of Anatolia on the eastern edge of the great, high Anatolian Plateau. It is bordered by the cities of Cankiri and Bolu to the north, Eskisehir to the west, Konya and Aksaray to the south, and Kirikkale and Kirsehir to the east. If you happen to be in Ankara try not to miss this one. It is a small museum with a lot to offer. Exhibits ranges from as early as the Paleolitic Age, the Mesopotamia, the Hittite and the Hatti; the likes of which that'd put Ephesus, Bergama and any classical museums in the shade. Spend two hours or so and it's worth looking through each and every item, especially the reconstruction of the Catal Hoyuk cities, the first envelopes in the world and the many Hittite jewelleries. After seeing all these you wouldn't want to go downstairs where the Graeco-Roman artefacts seem inferiorly placed. Don't miss this excellent museum if you love the antiquities. ...
