Advantages: great state, lots of fun
Disadvantages: n/a
Arizona is a very amazing state. You can see forrests with cold weather up north, and can experience the hot desert land in the central and souther parts of the state. Most people think that ALL of Arizona is just one big desert, but they are mistaken.
There are three main cities in Arizona; Flagstaff in the north, Phoenix in the center, and Tucson in the South. Flagstaff is a rather small city, but does have some attractions. It is only an hour away from the Grand Canyon, so it is a nice town to stay in if you are going up there to take the tour of the canyon. Flagstaff is more of a laid back college town since most of the residents there attend Northern Arizona University (NAU). There is also a brewery called "beavery street brewery" which does serve some good beer.
Then we travel south to Phoenix, the heart of the state. There is everything you want here, and you'll rarely be bored. The weather is hot during the summers and warm during the winters. There are so many attractions to see. Phoenix has a baseball, football, and hockey team as well as many teams spring training baseball fields. If you want to see western nature, you can check out the Arizona Botanical Gardens in Tempe. If you like beer, you can also head down to the main brewpub, Four Peaks Brewery. There are also many smaller brewpubs around town. If you're staying in a hotel, there are plenty of brochures for ideas to do on your trip.
Tucson is not all that special. I was there once to see the Tucson Symphony orchestra, and it wasn't all that great of a town. Most of the area I saw was a little dingy and run down. They did have a big mall there, but that was about all that was interesting.
Overall, Arizona is a great western state to visit. There are many things to do and many sites to see. I suggest people to come take a visit!
