Hong Kong:
... Kong - A Taste of the Orient - another of my favourite cities. Hong Kong is a city that never sleeps, the New York of the east with a dose of the orient chucked in for good measure. Its gritty reality means Hong Kong is the real deal, far removed from the sanitised versions of the Far East found in cities like Singapore. Gateway to China and a consumer and cultural haven packed into small area, Hong Kong has so... Read the full review: a real taste of the orient by iallan |

Palawan ... is the Philippines final frontier . A collection of many islands to explore. It can inlove long van rides (mini buses), and boat trips so may not be suitable for young children. Those that do take the effort to travel around Palwan always love it. In the north there is the amazing boat trip around Coron Island which includes visiting amazing lakes, snorkelling spots, lagoons, and a barbeque on aj desserted beach for lunch. The scenery is stunning with high limestone cliffs. El Nido is another popular area with the Bacuit Archipelago, a collection of many tiny islands. It is worth doing 3 days of touring these islands on boat tours which are cheap and easy to find... Read the full review: Amazing white sand beaches, coves and lagoons by mmayer99 |

Phuket ... with many holiday makers in the UK, I visited Thailand on my trip to East Asia. During my Thailand visit, I stopped at Phuket. This is a famous spot for tourists who like the exotic cities with delicious food. From Phuket, you can also go to see some other stunning places within a stone s throw like Bangkok and other South East Asian cities. - the BASICS - Phuket is in the south of Thailand. As there are lots of tourists it is well connected to Bangkok and some planes may even fly directly into the area from regional airports. The area is famous for its stunning beauty and unspoiled beaches. - PLACES to visit - The Phang Nga Bay National park, located in the heart ... Vietnam ... this year I did a 5 month long travelling trip, 3 months of which was spent in South East Asia, a month of which was spent in Vietnam. I really really enjoyed my time here, only wished it could have been longer I felt there was much more to see, and staying places longer really enables you to get a feel for a place! As you arrive in Vietnam, if you know little about its history it is worth visiting one of the many museums to find out about the war and other history which has shaped Vietnam and its people. We flew from Loas to Hanoi, which was quite and expensive flight, but the alternative is a 30 hour coach ride. The first thing we noticed on arriving in Vie...
