clairedooyoo Cambodia: ... of a 5 month travelling trip, I spent 3 months in South East Asia, 3 weeks of which was spent in the beautiful country, Cambodia. We had previously been visiting Vietnam, so got an over night coach from HCMC to Siem Riep, costing around 20 dollars, you can get this trip for around 15 dollars, but was well worth paying a little extra. Obviously you have to cross over the boarder which we had heard horror stories ...

ecolier Seoul
... I visited East Asia I would like to have visited Tokyo but accomodation and living standard is much more expensive there. So I settled for Seoul instead - and how right was I. It turned out to be a fantastic advanture and I loved my time there. I would like to talk more about Seoul as it is a lively city with lots of clubs, restaurants, casinos and big shopping malls. - seoul CULTURE - Instead of going to a Western style pub, why not try a Korean style bar? When in Seoul, do what the people in Seoul do and order some side dishes to go along a drink. It is a kind of culture there. mattheconsumer Johor Bahru
... spent a few nights in Johor Bahru in July 2009. The city is literally a taxi ride away from Singapore. Johor Bahru is not really a tourist destination and the city itself has no main shopping street as such but rather has several massive malls scattered about the city. While there I was strongly advised against going out at night due to knife weilding gangs, it seems the most common crime there was motorcyclists snatching handbags and there were even police posters warning people to be vigilant against this. All that said I never had any problem and it didnt stop me going looking for snake charmers in the Indian area of the city, unfortunately I never found any. Si...

cezzybunny Beijing
... recently returned from a trip to Beijing, which was the destination of our month long trip by train from Latvia. I loved every minute of my time there, it is a truly amazing city. There is so much to see and do, highly recommended are Tiananmen Square, Beihai Park on a Sunday, the Hutongs and the Temple of Heaven. However, my favourite part about Beijing was just wandering around, getting lost in back streets, watching what people were doing, and eating lots and lots of good Chinese food. The Hutongs were awesome, however my favourite time to go for a wander was at around 7pm, which is when people are going out, eating at home, or even welding. A favourite hobby of mi...
