Hong Kong:
... Kong I visited Hong Kong and China for the first time this past June/July. I must admit I didn t enjoy it much at the time, so don t expect too much enthusing. This is because I was ill the first week of my trip (when I was in Hong Kong), experiencing some bad culture shock and, as a result, being exceedingly homesick. In hindsight the negative aspects of the trip were certainly outweighed by the positives, it ... Read the full review: Highs and lows of Hong Kong by Wiggles1988 |

Marmaris ... as I m sure you eagle-eyed people are aware, I ve been away for just over a week and the reason behind that is I ve been on holiday...after reading this review you ll get no prizes for guessing! So here s a nice summary of what I came across during my time in Marmaris... Based in the south-west of Turkey, by most of the reviews I ve read - here and elsewhere, it is widely regarded as the most European of holiday destinations in Turkey. This year, most likely due to the exchange rate of the Euro, Turkey has been extremely popular with Brits as the Lira gives a good return. On arrival at Dalaman airport - about a two hour coach journey through the winding hills to M... Read the full review: Marmaris by carlmcq |

Tokyo ... has many things to offer, everything from ancient temples to that of modern Japanese life. Tokyo is said to be expensive and at today s current exchange rate it is. However at the normal currency rate going back over a year, Tokyo is only as expensive as you choose. For example there are many reasonable hotels outside the major hotspots and if you know where to go eating out is cheaper than Europe. For this reason it would be best to know people who live in Tokyo before heading there. The kind of tourists that visit Tokyo can be catagorized into several different groups. First there are the normal tourists, those who like to travel, experience new culture and visit... Read the full review: How to see the real Tokyo and not be mistaken for an otaku by shuttlex |

Mongolia ... Mongolia is a poor country and it s obvious from just looking at the streets. Fundamentally, Mongolia is a country with a very important future and a very prosperous one. As foreign business slowly moves in, the economy will slowly grow and this can be seen all over the city, including the inclusion of modern night clubs and international hotels that cater for even the most lavish lifestyles. There are a moderate number of street children, perhaps twenty or so around the central region of the city, at least they were the ones I saw. Mongolia is interesting because in the city you do see the same people over and over again, and you can. Officially there s 4,100...
