... is a great spot for a wide range of sightseeing and activities, it smells a bit like rotten eggs but you soon get used to the smell! One of my favourite activities in Rotorua was an evening tour of a traditional Maori evening, with a visit to an old fashioned style village, a wonderful meal and fantastic traditional dances. Another must see is the Wai-o-tapu geothermal park. You can spend hours here exploring the many natural wonders such as sulphur pools, volcanic craters, geysers and mud pools. ... absolutley loved every minute i spent in Taupo! it has so much to do and see i just couldnt get enough of the little place! Ofcourse there is the huge lake, this is beautiful....the best view of it can be captured 15 thousand feet up in the air sky diving! Taupo is one of the cheapest places for people who like danger, for sky diving and bungy jumping! A must see is Huka falls, this is an easy drive or jump on the bright orange small mini-buses for $5 return. Huka falls is a massive waterfall which is mouth dropping! there are also some great trials around the falls for walkers. It is possible to walk from the town centre all the way to the falls, which is a beautiful...

... first went to Kaikoura from CHCH on the kiwi experience and stayed in a youth hostel on top of the hill, second time i went up on a shuttle bus from CHCH and stayed in a cheap hotel on the sea front. Both times a great experience! I found it is a popular tourist destination, yet peacefully quiet and relaxed! There is a main street of shops in the town with a few tourist ones and a range of cafes, coffe shops and couple of restaurants. The main attraction of Kaikoura is whale watching, sadly i went in winter and both times the boats were unabloe to go out due to bad weather.
