Ayia Napa ... into English as Agia Napa) is a resort at the far eastern end of the south coast of the island of Cyprus, famous for its sandy beaches. In recent years, apart from being a family holiday destination, it has become a 'party capital' similar to Ibiza.

Hotel Stayed in the 5* Grecian Sands. Right on the beach with great facilities, and a gorgeous pool. It's not right in the centre but only about an 8 minute walk to the main square. Plus there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the way to the main square to go to. These are all extremely cheap and you will pay about 2 euros per drink. Beaches Extremely clean and popular. If you are looking for a lively beach go to Nissi Beach. Resort About a 45 minute drive from the airport. Plenty to do and see. Waterpark, a variety of restaurants offing traditional Cypriot food, Italian, Chinese, Indian, ...  Read the complete review

I'm afraid I can't write a totally balanced review having only spent 2 days and 1 night in Napa but I would like to share my experience there. I came to Cyprus for a week long holiday staying with my friend who lives there in Nicosia and we took a road trip to Napa on the Saturday. Napa is a few hours drive, my friend's car had no air conditioning and the temperature was 30 degrees+ so on arrival we went directly to Nissi Beach. I was truly amazed; I have never seen anything like it. The beach was packed - beautiful white sand and the sea was beautiful, turquoise and so clear, no seaweed (which I loathe) stones or crabs! The bay is very shallow, no ...  Read the complete review

I absolutely Love Ayia Napa, the last time i went was last year but briefly. The Club scene is brilliant, and Nissi Beach is the place to be during the day. The food as always is splendid, the lamb chops and sirloin steak and the rest of it, on point!!!. Black and White was the main club I went and the bar opposite where everyone starts the night off. The music is eclectic, which I love Im an RNB/ Hip Hop chick myself a dose of reggaeton now, but after a few drinks ill dance to anything, house, dance...you name it, ill shake to it. I find ppl friendly in general both the Greeks/ Cypriots and the holidaymakers, even if someone may appear to have a not so ...  Read the complete review

Ayia Napa is now marketed as the destination for clubbers. Unfortunately this has led to a decline as a destination for those who want a more civilised holiday. If you can avoid the noise and the rubbish of the less civilised adults then Napa still has much to offer for the rest of us. WHERE TO STAY If you choose a hotel by the Liminaki Beach and harbour or a little away from the Square you can still have a great holiday. Another trick is to visit outside of the period from June to September when the clubbing season is in full swing. Many of the locals tell me that they visit during the winter only. BEACHES There are several good beaches in the ...  Read the complete review
