Advantages: Beaches, Hotels, Choice of bars and restaurants

Disadvantages: Airport - just complete chaos when a number of flights arrive/ depart at the same time

Hotel

Stayed in the 5* Grecian Sands. Right on the beach with great facilities, and a gorgeous pool. It's not right in the centre but only about an 8 minute walk to the main square. Plus there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the way to the main square to go to. These are all extremely cheap and you will pay about 2 euros per drink.

Beaches

Extremely clean and popular. If you are looking for a lively beach go to Nissi Beach.

Resort

About a 45 minute drive from the airport.

Plenty to do and see. Waterpark, a variety of restaurants offing traditional Cypriot food, Italian, Chinese, Indian, English all very reasonably priced. The purpose of my holiday was to lie around the pool and relax however I will be going back and visiting the historic sites, monasteries etc as it was such a shame not to see these.

Nightlife

Absolutely brilliant. It's a real lively resort without getting the feel of it being tacky and in the same league of Magaluf etc...

Before I went I had heard that drinks etc were expensive however once I got to Napa I found this to be untrue.

Do note that once you get next to the main square you will be pounced upon by the PR staff who try and get you in the bars. You can get a good deal if you are cheeky and negotiate as competition is tough between bars and clubs as there are so many operating in such a small area. After a few nights out in the resort, if you have an idea where you want to go just tell the PR people no (politely) and they should leave you alone!

My favourite bars in the square were Bedrock, Pirates Bar, Ice, Castles Club and Starskys.

If you want a nice hotel but right next to the nightlife Napa Plaza is the place to go.

I had a great time here and will definitely be going back here this year.
