Bali is well known as a paradise island with beautiful stretches of sandy beach and mountainous landscape. Bali is an Indonesian island located in the eastern part of Indonesia, lying between Java and Lombok. Majority of the people in Bali are Hindus although Indonesia is primarily a Muslim country. The capital city of Bali is Denpasar and though Bali was a Dutch colony, the Balinese culture has a strong Indian and Chinese influence. I was invited to join a friend in Bali a few years ago. She works for Club Med and was given free accommodation in Bali Club Med resort. All I need to do was to get my own air ticket. Club Med Bali itself ...  Read the complete review

Looking through the reviews there have been none for over 18 months and I feel that Bali is a wonderful place so wish to share my experiences with you in a hope that you might one day visit it and see it how I saw it! I was travelling around Australia and met up with a chap who was going to Bali for 3weeks, i decided that as I had nothing else to do, I may aswel go along with him. If anyone wants me to pay respects on their behalf, please e-mail me. I lost two good Balinese friends.

Please contact me,

Marcus

Crowned Review Bali - Simply Beautiful (2626 words)

Rating:

I was extremely lucky to have visited Bali, Indonesia in June 2005, before the second bombings took place. To have occurred once was horrendous, killing and maiming all those people but for a second time – what has this island paradise and beautiful and gentle people done to deserve this? I don’t want to dwell too much on this incident l want to extol to you (hopefully doing it some justice) the majestic beauty and peaceful tranquillity of this small island and its peoples. To travel to Bali you will have to connect through one of the more major hubs whether it is Singapore or Bangkok. We flew out of Manchester with Singapore Airlines checking our baggage ...  Read the complete review
