From what I’ve seen, this is my favourite part of France. The Basque Country is basically the southwest region of France and over the invisible border to the Northern region of Spain. Bayonne is the main city on the French side and what a beautiful old city. Very laid back and pleasant to explore with loads of pedestrian only cobblestone streets lined with interesting shops and cafes. Biarritz, which is more well known as the Riviera of the 50's is just down the road a few KM. The prices here are surprisingly low compared to other places I’ve been in France such as the Riviera.
