BenidormNewest Review: ... dinner. Despite going out every night we actually made it to breakfast every day! Benidorm itself was actually far better than I expected or than the stereotypes of it being 'chavy' would suggest. The town itself although looking a little bit like Birmingham-on-Sea, was actually very pleasant, with lots of shops and restaurants, not that I can comment on the restaurants due to the ... more |

A few weeks ago, a couple of mates and I booked an exceptionally last minute deal - the day before - to go to the Valencian coastal town of Benidorm for four nights. It cost us just shy of Ģ300 each for flights, transfers, accommodation and all-inclusive food, drink and facilities at the Flamingo Hotel. While we didnt actually stay at the Flamingo, rather in a large block of appartments five minutes walk away, which were exceptionally comfortable and well-furnished, the arrangement was fine. The food, drink and facilities at the Flamingo were all to a decent standard, with a wide choice, buffet-style for food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Despite going out ... Read the complete review

Benidorm Medieval nights. This is a fantastic trip, some hotels offer it free when you book a package holiday. We stayed in the tropicana gardens (magic monkia now) hotel and got the trip included. We stayed all inclusive for two weeks. The hotel hires a taxi to take you to the 'Castle', it is quite grand there is a moat around the entrance and as you enter you get your picture taken with the queen. You are shown to your seats and are served food and wine or beer all night. The food is a medieval banquet so you have soup and bread to start followed by chicken legs for a main. The food is edible but it isn't by any means top quality but you get what ... Read the complete review

Benidorm is so popular with the brits that you can barely hear spanish being spokken! Benidorm has a long row of skyscrapers the tallest being the grand bali hotel which is the tallest in europe. the tourist industry in benidorm continues year round, due to the warm climate and varied night-life which happens in over 200 bars and clubs. There is a large number of free (and brilliant) cabaret acts that start around 2100 hours and continue into the early hours. this sets Benidorm apart from other similar resorts. take that, the beatles and meat loaf are particually good. a great comedian is tony scott at the stardust. Benidorm has 2 great blue ... Read the complete review

I wouldn't rate Benidorm as one of my favourite places to go! Maybe it has got better recently, with any luck but I was there a few years ago and it was pretty nasty! If you're about 18 and don't really care where you are it's maybe ok. There's plenty of tacky 'restaurants' where you are guaranteed an all day fry and endless repeats of only fools and horses on the television day and night if that's what you want to come on holiday for! Its hard to see the sun with all the high rised apartment blocks blocking it out so my advice is go to the beach which is probably the nicest part of Benidorm! As for the hotel we stayed in, the security guard broke in a robbed us ... Read the complete review

I went to Benidorm in February 08 and was really quite surprised! I before I went people had told me that it was like Blackpool but with sun but it is so much nicer than Blackpool! The week we arrived Benidorm had had lovely weather for a couple of weeks but this changed when we got there, it wasnt cold but it was very windy and grey. Despite this we did manage to get a few days on the gorgeous Levante beach which has play areas on for children and is very close to a MacDonalds amongst other restaurants and the beach goes on for miles! We stayed in the Levante Club hotel and the rooms there are fantastic and the view over the mountains is amazing! The only thing about ... Read the complete review
