Advantages: it was free
Disadvantages: food wasn't great
Benidorm Medieval nights.
This is a fantastic trip, some hotels offer it free when you book a package holiday. We stayed in the tropicana gardens (magic monkia now) hotel and got the trip included. We stayed all inclusive for two weeks. The hotel hires a taxi to take you to the 'Castle', it is quite grand there is a moat around the entrance and as you enter you get your picture taken with the queen.
You are shown to your seats and are served food and wine or beer all night. The food is a medieval banquet so you have soup and bread to start followed by chicken legs for a main. The food is edible but it isn't by any means top quality but you get what you pay for.
The audience is split into two sides red and black and there is a show of jousting, jesters, jugglers etc all to win the queens heart. You soon find out that one is cheating but I won't give it away. Every time a knight wins a joust the queen gives them a flower and the score is updated.
The whole show lasts a couple of hours and the kids really enjoy it. It is good to go and see but I'm not sure I would think it was worth the money if I had to pay.
Summary: kids love the show
