Disadvantages: Extreme heat!

Last summer we went to Benidorm for a 2 week holiday with Thompson. Although we had an overnight flight, it was well worth it.
Our hotel was like an apartment block, and was decent enough. There was a swimming pool in every hotel in the area, which were great fun. The beach was about 5 minutes walk and was great. It was a long stretch of golden sand, and nice warm water. There was even a playform in the sea for diving and sliding.
There were plenty of cafe's near the beach for eating and drinking at reasonable prices.
If you need a day out there is Terra Mitica, a new theme park with a massive wooden rollercoaster. There is also Aquanlandia, a water park, which was a great day out. There are boats that do coastal journeys to other towns in the area. The boat journeys are nice, as you get to look at the scenary.
Finally, the nightlife is terrific. There are so many pubs and clucb, and prices are reasonable for alcohol. Most hotels had their own disco's and entertainment each night. For those who get home-sick, there are plenty of english cafe's, even a McDonalds and Burger King!
