Advantages: Cheap, Cheerful, Wall to Wall sexy men
Disadvantages: Hot, Bit smelly(but Ibiza was worse!!)
I have to admit, I had heard some awful things about Benidorm before we went......I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and was so glad I did. Ok, ok I know Benidorm is the most cheesy place on earth but I think that this is its main appeal!! I went with my sister and a couple of friends and we all had a great time!!
I went for two weeks with club 18-30 (who are all clinically mad by the way!!!) and had the time of my life!!! I know 18-30 may not be everyones cup of tea but we went with Escapades the year after.......I'll write a opinion on that later!!! Fourteen mad days of drinking into the early hours of the morning...........passing out by the pool..........going to the great Waterpark which isn't too far away..........and starting the cycle all over again!!
One place that must be visited if you ever visit Benidorm (only for the cheesiest of you out there though!!) is the medieval castle where medieval nights are held. There is a red team and a green team, each team having their own respective knights fighting to defend the honour of the queen. You also get to meet the Kng and queen of Spain for a cheesy kodak moment when you go in!!! I know this may not sound like an ideal night but bear in mind you get a medieval style banquet and as much Sangria as you can stomach(not much in my case!!!) where if your jug is empty you have to stand and shout "Oi wench, fill my jugs". VERY funny when you're THAT drunk!!! Our team won......yay!!! My description is a bit rubbish but it was such a class night!!
Of all the many pubs I went to I have to reccommend Red Dog......again only for the cheesiest at heart!!! Belting out cheesy pop until the early hours.......I did also get a t-shirt from there for flashing at the dj(but thats a whole other chapter!!!).
I also liked the fact that Benidorm catered for all music tastes, and this compared to Ibiza was heaven for me. I am definately a cheesy kinda gir
l and cannot stand a whole night of dance music.........bring on Steps and Britney anytime!!! "TRAGEDY!!!!" Hahahaha!!
We didn't actually make it into any clubs in the end as they all had live lesbian sex shows......DEFINATELY not my cup of tea!!! Most of the pubs had biggish dancefloors there anyway and were free to get in........most of them also had a free shot of vodka when you went in.........no wonder I never remember leaving most of the places!!!
I have no hesitation in reccommending Benidorm for a holiday........but if you're not into cheesy pop music then don't even go there!!!
