Bodrum

I went to Bodrum for a week with my mum, so just us girlys and found it is a place you love some night and hate on other nights! We went during the summer holidays so it was pretty busy with plenty of tourist around. We booked for two people in a 3* hotel for £350 each including breakfast and airport transfers. I found Bodrum centre easy to walk around, althoguh we did get pestered alot with comments like "oo pretty ladies, good discount"! we just smiled and kept walking which seemed to do the trick. I have to totally agree that Bodrum Gold Centre are a rip off. I knew the price of a Tag Heuer watch and they said because of tax free and their offers it would be £300 less but they didnt have one in only another one which is a better watch and just at good a deal only £160.00 more. I found out when I got home that the watch I bought wasnt a better watch its actually £200 less here and they charged me more than the one I knew and not only that I could have got it £100 cheaper here on any internet site in the uk. After exchange rates and then having to claim tax back at the airport its not worth buying from them

Not having been on a holiday abroad in 9 years (and the last was to get married!) I went to Bodrum in 1995 with 2 friends for a girls holiday, and I have to say we loved every minute of it! Bodrum is near Kos, the Greek island. The scenery in the area surrounding Bodrum is beautiful and there are a lot of areas still untouched by tourism. The locals are hospitable, and generous to all visitors. I loved the fact that you could have a sun filled beach holiday, while still having the ability to experience a new culture.
