Brunei

Description: Brunei, officially the State of Brunei, Abode of Peace (Malay: Negara Brunei Darussalam, Jawi: ... more
Brunei ... برني دارالسلام ), is a country located on the island of Borneo, in Southeast Asia. Apart from its coastline with the South China Sea, it is completely surrounded by the states of Sarawak and Sabah, East Malaysia. Brunei, the remnant of a very powerful sultanate, regained its independence, from the United Kingdom, on 1 January 1984.

You have Malaysia surrounding it from east and west and Indonesia Borneo to the south and it's just outclassed in everyway. Premium Review Brunei: Absolutely nothing to do in this oil state... (247 words)

Brunei is essentially just a tiny oil state inbetween Sabah and Sarawak. It's hard to find words to write about the place as aside from the Royal Palaces and the Oma Ali Mosque, there is not an awful lot to do... Thinking about it, that is an understatement! It's about 15 quid for a single, ...  Read the complete review

Why would anyone want to go to Brunei when Malaysia is next door? The country is the same, the jungle is just about the same, the water villages are the same, the people are the same. The only differences are that Brunei costs at least ten times as much as Malaysia, is less interesting in terms of things to do and see .... and it's dry, so no beers or sundowners. The only thing you could do in Brunei which you can't to in Malaysia is go Royal Family or Palace Spotting, but then not many tourists want to do that. There's almost no public transport to the places of real interest in Brunei, so you would have to rent a car - and that is very expensive. Sabah and ...  Read the complete review
