Brussels certainly not boring (Brussels)

Advantages: Beer, Chocolate, friendly citizens

Disadvantages: found it a little expensive

Why Brussels and more generally Belgium has a reputation for being boring is beyond me. I stayed a couple of days in Brussels last summer and had a great time. I'm not sure what's not to like in Brussels, they have great beer, great chocolate and it's a beautiful city with loads of attractions. My only regret was that wasn't able to stay longer.
I travelled to Brussels on the Eurostar which was a hassle free pleasure that I would heartily recommend (if you can get a cheap ticket). The NH hotel I stayed in was great value for money and the people were really friendly. On my visit I only got the chance to visit the Atomium, Grand Place, Manneken Pis and some of the city centre markets. In the evening I had a couple of great meals and really enjoyed sampling the local beers I will definitely be going back in the future; to see what else Brussels has to offer

Summary: I would definately go back
