To reach Busan, take a domestic flight from Seoul Kimpo airport to Pusan's Gimhae International. The flight takes an hour and costs around thirty five pounds for a single. Pusan-now officially known as Busan due to the Korean government's new guidelines on romanization-is definitely well worth visiting.Known to the locals as the Korean San Francisco, with five million inhabitants it possesses most of the facilities you'll find in Seoul but it's coastal location gives it a much more relaxing vibe. Koreans think of people from Busan much as Londoners think of Geordies or Scousers. They speak with a strong dialect that sounds angry and rough compared to the smooth Seoul dialect.
