Cagliari

Although tourists mainly arrive at Cagliari and then head for some resort on the coast, the city itself is probably worth a visit, if you have the time. The old city still retain some of its medieval past, and there are nice beaches in the town itself. Probably the best thing to do, is just to walk around the old part of the City. The Dome can be used as main reference and, again, its worth a visit. If you fancy the beach, Spiaggia di Poetto can be reached by bus, to the best of my knowledge, is never too crowded, there are plenty of nice bars behind it, and it is definitively sexier than Brighton You can fly to Sardinia with Ryanair, directly into Alghero. ...
