I travelled to Cancun in October 2008 with my fiancée; we stayed at the Riu Carbie (see my review on there too). It was a great holiday and I must say I really think it was my best holiday ever! We arrived at Cancun airport around 1.40pm local time. It was soo hot! As we was driving through Cancun it wasn't what I expected at all. ... Read the complete review

My husband and I travelled to Cancun for our honeymoon last year. I have never been as far abroad as Cancun, but decided on here for our honeymoon as it looked like a mixture of gorgeous sandy beaches and lively nightlife. Cancun is in Mexico's easternmost state, Quintana Roo, on the Yucatan peninsula. Cancun is located on the Yucatan ... Read the complete review

Beware, we just came back from Cancun and find out that when you rent a car in Cancun you are buying a big chance to be extorted by the corrupted Cancun cops, even if you are driving just fine; they are making false charges to the tourist and then ask for a big amount of cash... they know that as tourist we don't know the laws and we don't have ... Being easy to get to and sunny are far from being my usual criteria in selecting a holiday destination. But that is more or less what brought me to Cancun at the end of July. With just a week to spare, we wanted to get away, recharge the batteries and also be somewhere reasonably lively with plenty of things to do. The journey, ... Read the complete review

Wanted to keep folks informed of the corrupt cops in Cancun. Just spent a week south of Cancun with some family. And while we were there we had a car accident in our rental car. We were hit my another driver. Lond story short. It cost us a total of $700 (a bribe) to be paid to the driver of the motor bike and the cops, to "not go to jail or ... Read the complete review

Of any review I have ever posted on here, this will be the one I am most qualified to write as I just spent the past 9 months in Cancun. Maybe some of you noticed my disappearence and wondered what happened to me, well I was in the Cancun Mexiko area. I never had been to Mexico before and hadn't planned to go. Cancun is to Mexico as Benidorm is to Spain. Despite this, we went and had a great time. Here?s the op: The place we stayed was an all-inclusive resort, the Moon Palace, so some of this opinion will relate to the specific resort. See http://www.moon-palace.com/ for more information on the resort. ... Read the complete review

Imagine that you had been kidnapped, put on a plane and when you got off, you had to guess where you were by your surroundings. Well, if you chose to ignore all the garish signs, and the T shirts, in Cancun, there is little in the way of clues. Compared to the variety and depth of national Mexican culture elsewhere, Cancun is a betrayal. However ... Read the complete review

On 20 April 2002 I was lucky enough to marry a beautiful woman named Jo. cancun was to be our honeymoon destination and naturally it was something I had been looking forward to for ages. The flight lasted 10 hours, we were in a bank of three seats. I was sandwiched inbetween my new wife and a smelly woman of the scottish persuasion. ... Read the complete review

After travelling through Mexico for six months, I finally arrived in Cancun for a relaxing weekend before I would take my flight back to Europe. I had been almost everywhere in Mexico, including the most remote areas where I would mix with the local Mexicans. This is where I really began to appreciate their culture. Arriving in Cancun was like a ... Read the complete review

I've just got back from a wonderful week in Cancun and am still quite chilled out. Although its back to work on Monday so that won't last long. Cancun is a Mexican resort on the Yucatan coast near to Cuba. Thirty years ago it was a village. Now its nicknamed the Mayan Riveria and attracts about 3 million visitors a year. Its ... Me and my girlfriend went to Cancun in March last year. It was absolutely fantastic! Cancun is a lot of things. But one thing it is not is traditional Mexico. If you want to experience the real Mexico, Cancun is not for you. If you want to have a holiday in a nice hotel but still get glimpses of traditional Mexico and its history Cancun ... My man and I went away for a week to Cancun at the end of this September. I found a JMC deal on Thomas Cook's website - £589 for an all inclusive resort called El Pueblito in Cancun. It seems that whenever I mention that I am from Mexico I usually get this answer "I will go/have been/want to go to Mexico" and they usually mean Cancun. Cancun is a beautiful place, it has the whitest sand in the world, the bluest sea and the nicest people in the world (of COURSE I'd say that!). Seriously, the place is a ... Read the complete review

I went to Cancun in August last year and I had the best time I've ever had on holiday. We went for only £600 each self-catering and it was worth every penny. The locals were all really friendly and there was so much to do - 2 weeks was not long enough. It was very americanised, such as the restaurants and the portions! But it still ... Last October my husband and I took our first trip to Cancun. My husband's brother had spent a week at the Moon Palace and had a wonderful time. It is a little expensive, but I do not think that I would risk staying somewhere else. Firstly, it is an all-inclusive resort. You pay one price and everything is covered. The food was wonderful. ... We went to Cancun to celebrate my Mum's 50th birthday. We wanted to offer her some luxury in a venue far away from the Algarve. Cancun is most famous for being the place where Pamela Anderson and Tommy - Lee Jones got married. Not really a great advert for it when you consider the problems their marriage went through later on down the line!!!
