Cancun:
... travelled to Cancun in October 2008 with my fiancée; we stayed at the Riu Carbie (see my review on there too). It was a great holiday and I must say I really think it was my best holiday ever! We arrived at Cancun airport around 1.40pm local time. It was soo hot! As we was driving through Cancun it wasn t what I expected at all. The streets were quite and there was rubbish on the roads. I was like OMG this isn... Read the full review: LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT by kayleigh2008 |

Oaxaca ... are many good, sensible reasons to visit Oaxaca (pronounced wa-ha-ca, not oh-axe...a car). I went, however, as a spur of the moment thing. Mexico City had shut down in an attempt to eradicate swine flu, and though I appreciated the 10 days paid leave we had been given at work, the lack of stuff to do in the city was driving me a little bit crazy. So, I booked a flight and 2 days later jumped on a plane to Oaxaca. Oaxaca city is a one hour plane ride or about a 6 hour bus journey from Mexico City, and the difference in price between the two seemed minimal, so I flew. Plus, the idea of an hour of recycled air was still more appealing than 6 hours full of poor people ... Read the full review: A Treat For The Senses by zoe_page_1 |

Tulum ... visited Tulum in July 2004. I was staying in the Riu Tequila hotel in the Playa del Carmen resort (seperate Dooyoo). Tulum, which is in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, is around 40 miles to the south of Playa del Carmen and around 100 south of the popular tourist resort of Cancun. The easiest way to visit from either Cancun or Playa del Carmen is by bus. We took a tourist bus, booked through Kuoni which cost £40 at the time and included transport to the site and enterance. A taxi though from Playa Del Carmen would only cost around 30USD (United States Dollars) with entrance to the sight is 5 USD with an additional charge for those wishing to use video cameras. T... Puerto Vallarta ... to spend Semana Santa, the week before Easter, in Vallarta was not difficult. I ve been to Acapulco, and I spent a month near Cancún when I first arrived in Mexico, so Vallarta was the obvious choice for my next beach trip. Located about 90 minutes by air from Mexico City, Vallarta is served by dozens of flights from the capital every day. We flew early Sunday morning and returned the following Sunday afternoon, getting just over a week in the resort. Vallarta airport is surprisingly nice. It is certainly better than the tiny thing in Veracruz, but then it is an international airport, with tons of flights to the USA and Canada as well as domestically within Mexi...
