Fighting? so I pressed one & set the whole lot off ;) The Crèche is like a little school room with an activity gym with those coloured balls they fall on, the hairdressers have hair raising prices. Lifestyles which is a disabled group went to Cherbourg via Portsmouth one weekend. We met up at 5.30 and caught the P&O ship which sailed at 8pm. Had to wait in the terminal for a while, there was quite a bit of a crowd & they actually wanted to see your passports before allowing boarding. Getting on board was quite interesting, there is a long flight of stairs going up to Deck 7; there r 8 decks in all. On deck 7 there is the reception, shop, hairdressers, Crèche, & Foreign Money Exchange. There is also a small restaurant on this deck, serving breakfast & a range of cakes & pastries. The duty free shop opens at 9am & closes at 10.pm, they except ...  Read the complete review

My parents regularly take the Portsmouth – Cherbourg crossing to France and spend a few days in Normandy. When I joined them on their most recent trip, I’m not sure what I was more apprehensive about: my first family holiday for eleven years, or planning a route for our second day. After some research on the net (oh, the hardship!), I came up with a route which not only worked, but also included some places new to my family. CHERBOURG Cherbourg is on the top (er, that would be the technical term) of the Cotentin Peninsula, Normandy. The town is overlooked by a fort, now a museum of the town’s Liberation. There are also several ...  Read the complete review
