Costa RicaNewest Review: ... took about five hours. It is not far but the roads, like they are in most of Costa Rica, are very bad, and the buses cant go very fast over them. Monteverde is set in cloud forest and it was a lovely place. The town is called Santa Elena. This is a small town but there are places to stay and places to eat. Fairly soon, the invitation came to go and spend a couple of weeks with her. We decided to take the plunge and go, and I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays I've ever had. We went in September, which isn't actually the best time to go. It's in the rainy season, which usually means torrential ...
