Advantages: weather and scenery

Disadvantages: I cant afford to get there

When I was in the merchant navy it was back and to from England to Montreal, every other week you where in Canada, but the the snows came and we couldnt get up the St Lawrence so we had to do cruises out of New York round the West Indies/Caribbean and one of my favourite places was Curacao(not because of Happy Valley). With it being a large liner we had to anchor out and use tenders to get ashore. we would get the locals coming out in their "Bum Boats exchanging all kinds ornaments, carvings, watches and all kinds of everything we would exchange soap, bed linen, towels, soap and cutlery and it all had Canadian Pacific wrote on it(it was all good swag).
NEway the people were very friendly on this magic island.

Happy Valley was built like Butlins but it was a brothel
