Advantages: beatiful places,friendly people,food,prices
Disadvantages: not for party animals
There are other places to see in the Czech republic than its capital Prague. I'm not saying that Prague is not beatiful and if you've never been than go ... But there are other places to see. Most peaple who visited Prague will tell you how cheap everything seems to the average British person. Well guess what? If you go outside Prague it is even cheaper. My favorite part of the Czech republic is Moravia. Few places you should visit: Kromeriz - a lovely town with a beautiful castle and awsome town gardens. Olomouc - town that's definitely worth visiting. lots of histirical churches and other baeutiful buildings. Beskydy mountains - if you like walking in the summer, skiing in winter (though it does not compare to big skiing resorts). Visit Roznov. It's historical wooden town and village is beautiful, lots of old fashioned markets as well. And while you are ther visit Pustevny - great walks, more wooden buildings. And when you've finnished walking, have a nice meal and beer ( all for about £2 per person). Saying this if you are a party animal and your holiday aim is as much clubbing and possible DO NOT GO. But if you are looking for quiet time in beautiful countryside with friendly people this is a place to go. And if you like your beer even better. Who could resist a pint(1/2 a litre really)for 30p.If you like something stronger try slivovice - local spirit made of plums. But be warned, it's not for the fainthearted -very strong. The food is great too though a bit heavy sometimes. Meat and dumplings and so on... But nowdays you can find even vegetarian options in most places. Restaurants do not always have English menus, but people often speak English and are happy to help. And the last advice - change your money in banks in bigger towns (not on the airport or Prague's trainstaitions - 7 to 10 % comission) because ones you get to the count
ryside there are not many of these or cash machines, for that matter. If you stay in a large hotel they 'll probably have an exchange bureau. So enjoy. Lovely historical towns, castles, great countryside, friendly locals and cheap beer. The perfect holidays. What more can
