Advantages: malls, restaurants, shopping, hotels

Disadvantages: weather from april to sept, transportation

I have been to Dubai twice...and my experience to be there both times was really superb.
The good things you would find there are excellent malls, like city centre, mall of emirates in which you would find ski-dubai which is much entertaing with its ice,beaches ,, water parks like wild wadi ,,desert safari, nice hotels like Burj al arab..,the longest tower in the world named the Burj..etc..
For ladies the most important thing to get along there is the Gold shopping,,i dont think you would find so much of varieties anywhere else with no compromise of quality,,you can find 24 carrat easily,,
I am an Indian and although I have not visited any other country but I can for sure say it could be best suitable to Indians as they could find the same Indian atmosphere around markets mainly restaurants like Bombay Choupati, Indian Emirates, Karama, a very good rajasthani restaurant ,Manuhar,,,among chinese restaurant i liked Oasis the best., pls dont forget to eat filliafil available in the meena bazar.
In short it could be said that for restaurants Dubai is very good,,and if you are planning for holidyas there, try to plan in the months of Dec to Mrch as you will find teh Dubai international fare to see in which many countries participate with there presentation of speciality of cultures and products so it would be greta shopping time also.
In the time of DSF (Dubai shopping festival) tou would find all roads and most buildings decorated like that of diwali time in India.
If we talk about the drwbacks of Dubai, main thing is weather in May to September,,it very hot and humid and the other is transportation that is Taxi and Buses only which you could find a litlle costlier, otherwise a great city..be atleast once there..you would enjoy..

Summary: must visit atleast once..
