Advantages: Warm, Fantastic Place

Disadvantages: Can be hard to reach by plane - local airport is small

When I was told that the family vacation was to Eilat I was unnerved at first, as I was worried about going to Israel following the Gulf War. But when I arrived I knew that I had found paradise on Earth. The climate was fantastic, warm all year round, and the changes in terrain from the Negev desert to the reefs in the Red Sea. Also the local people were extremly nice and polite, and I personally found many of them attractive. Eilat is a duty free town, and prices were therefore slightly cheaper than the rest of Israel. I bought a bottle of Vodka for £1.45 which was most impressive. So if you want to have a brilliant holiday, go to Eilat!
