One fine sunny day, in the spring of last year, I spent an afternoon in Flagstaff, a small mountain town in Northern Arizona. I was on a three-week trip in the States with my travel buddy, and after the madness of Las Vegas, and three spectacular days at the Grand Canyon, it was time to catch our "ride" to the West Coast, the overnight Amtrak train to L.A. We were dropped off at the railway station in Flagstaff in the early afternoon, and since our "Southwest Chief" train service wasn't leaving until around 9pm, we had half a day to kill.
