Fort Lauderdale is, quite rightly, known as the Venice of America. The town is on the east coast of Florida and built around many hundreds of canals and waterways Naturally, one of the best ways to take in the sights is by boat. We chose to go on the Paddlewheel Queen and I can highly recommend this trip which lasted about 2-3 hours. The cruise passes many outstanding and very expensive waterfront houses including an area known as multi-millionaire’s row! There is a tour guide who gives information about many of the inhabitants and history of the area.
