I was visiting Frankfurt during Easters. It was an interesting experience visiting German without knowing any German. We checked into a 4 star hotel but was surprised by the rude service offered at the receptionist. Imagine a 4 star hotel doing this and it is at Frankfurt! I really can't believe my eyes. The rest of the day was fine, we has an enjoyable time in the city. No incidents happen until when we try to check our luggage into the airport. We again ran into problems with the luggage controllers. They are not only rude but impolite as well. Hence, Frankfurt is not a good place to go....imagine all the rude services you will get!

Places to visit in Frankfurt, there's a lot of skyscappers to make one feel like he/she is in USA. There's an old town which has very interesting pre war buildings. For better scenic views, try visit the outskirts of Frankfurt like Maine.

If you don't tell us the name of the hotel, how can we avoid going there?

I know what this reviewer means but unfortunately a lot of Germans are like that. The concept of good service isn't as widespread in Germany as it is in countries like the UK and America. Most Germans resent it too and complain about rudeness and bad service. It is getting better but it is a slow process. Frankfurt is not a particularly attractive town but the historical area, Sachsenhausen, is very nice with attractive architecture and lots of good bars and restaurants.
